F.A.L.T.U is a home-grown 2018 Pakistani drama film directed by Shakir Kalia and produced by Murtaza Jaffrey and Salman Iqbal under the banner of their production company, Story House Productions. It stars Ushna Shah in the titular role, alongside Imran Abbas Naqvi and Fahad Mustafa in his debut role as lead actor in a leading-role movie, with Mohib Mirza and Hina Dilpazeer playing pivotal roles, along with A Khan Wazir and Athar Ali Aftab acting as supporting actors for this film. The film explores the dark side of the society and how it affects the lives of each individual.Shakir Kalia had been working on this movie for a few years. In October 2015, a lot of changes were made in both cast and crew. Cast: The music video was filmed in Pakistan by Rubina Siddiqui and directed by Yasir Khwaja. The music video was released on 18 September 2018 along with the trailer of the film. The song "Maray" sung by Ushna Shah was released online through Wahdat TV. F.A.L.T.U first look poster and teaser were first launched online on 12 June 2018 and the trailer of the film was first launched online on 18 September 2018 through Wahdat TV YouTube channel, as part of their official YouTube channel which is published by Universal Music Group Pakistan (UMGP). The film is scheduled to release in Pakistan, United States and United Arab Emirates on 8 October 2018 under the banner of UMGP as a cinematographically distributed movie starting at cinemas, including Nueplex Cinemas throughout the country by Imperial Films Limited. The film was also released in India on 9 October 2018. "F.A.L.T.U" has received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences and best response from all Pakistani community with 75% like and 75,000+ like on Facebook in Pakistan, 70% like on Twitter in Pakistan, 77% like on Facebook in UK, United States of America & Canada; 80% like on Facebook in Australia and New Zealand with over 50k likes and 16k shares respectively; 85% like on Facebook in UAE; 79% like on Facebook in Qatar while its IMDB rating is 6. 8/10 after watching by more than 35k people worldwide. "Times of India" praised the film by giving the verdict that "F.A.L.T.U is a movie that reflects Pakistan." Tufail Hussain of "The Express Tribune" praised the movie by saying that "[it is] 'one of the most realistic film to come out'. To him, it is an 'awareness-raiser' for Pakistan".
